About my photos

Hi, thank you for taking the time to visit my website, I hope you like the colourful images I display here for you to enjoy.  These photos were captured over many years, starting from when I was a teenager.  I still remember the day I got my first camera, a very simple Kodak compact film camera, fairly small and light.  It was an amazing 16th birthday present from my eldest sister. In my twenties, I started to learn how to use SLR cameras, thanks to my husband who lent me his Olympus and Canon SLRs and his amazing zoom lenses.

In the early 90s when digital cameras only captured the imagination of a few (very rich) gadget-junkies we got introduced to many digital gadgets and the Internet by my brother-in-law who at the time was working as an editor of What PC.  We then discovered an Olympus compact digital camera with 1.3MP, a great model at the time.  I became so in love with digital photography and IT multimedia that in 1999 I decided to go back to university to study Advance IT with Multimedia and completed my MSc in 2001.

I continued to use compact digital cameras until the end of 2005.  In January 2006, I treated myself to a Canon DSLR, Rebel 350D, which came with 18-55mm zoom lens, which I love so dearly and I still use a lot today. Sadly like most things in life, it got a bit tired and occasionally gives trouble, so now I have treated myself to a Canon DSLR 7D.  I have also indulged in a selection of great zoom and prime lenses and photography has become my real addiction.

If there’s one thing you need to know about my photography it’s that I am very passionate about event photography and would like to develop my photography career in this area.  I am currently building my portfolio and I am offering low prices for 2012.

If you have any questions or would like to take advantage of my offer, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I look forward to produce amazing pictures for you, whatever the occasion.

Take care,

Nelly Andon
